CITY OF COLTON
MEASURE I TWENTY YEAR PLAN 1995/2015
A NARRATIVE
The City of Colton General Plan Circulation Element currently identifies
proposed improvements of the City Street System for the next twenty years.
Implementation of these improvements is dependent on rates of development
and the availability of funding from a variety of sources, including Measure I
fiinds. Current emphasis is placed on street capacity improvements to
accommodate growing traffic volumes as identified in the 5 year measure I
plan. Colton is a mature City with an extensive existing road system.
Pavement management programs are currently implemented to protect this
sizable investment. As the City of Colton nears buildout estimated near 2025,
roadways constructed with Measure I funds will also experience a growing
need for protective maintenance. Over the next twenty years, the City will
substantially increase the allocation of Measure I funds for rehabilitation and
reconstruction of these existing facilities.
Attachments: City of Colton General Plan Circulation Element Update Street Cross
Sections; Typical Street Cross Sections.
EXHIBIT B
