RESOLUTION NO. R-58-95 <br />1 <br />2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS <br />3 LIMIT FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1995/96 <br />4 <br />5 WHEREAS, the voters of California, on November 6, 1979, added Article XIII-B to th <br />6 State Constitution placing various limitations on the appropriations of the state and loci <br />7 governments; and <br />8 <br />WHEREAS, Article XIII-B provides that the appropriations limit for the fiscal yec, <br />9 <br />10 1995/96 is calculated by adjusting the base year appropriations of fiscal year 1978-79 fc <br />11 changes in the cost of living and population; and <br />12 WHEREAS, the City of Colton has complied with all the provisions of Article XIII-B i <br />13 determining the appropriations limit for fiscal year 1995/96,; and <br />14 WHEREAS, The City of Colton must make the necessary determinations regarding th <br />15 <br />use of a cost-of-living index change and the population index change as of January 1, 1995. <br />16 <br />17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the appropriations subject to limitation i <br />18 fiscal year 1995/96 shall be $26,799,821 for the City of Colton, and BE IT FURTHE <br />19 RESOLVED, that for fiscal year 1995/96, the City of Colton selects the California percentac <br />20 <br />change in per capita income as its cost-of-living index change as determined by the Californ <br />21 <br />State Department of Finance and that henceforth the City of Colton selects the populatic <br />22 <br />23 index change for the County of San Bernardino as a whole as its population index change. <br />24 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of June , 1995 <br />25 <br />26 -4��"Z2 <br />27 GE RGE .
