POLICY NO. 16 <br />DEPOSITS AND TURN -ON CHARGE <br />A. Guarantee of Payments <br />Page No. 27 <br />A guarantee shall be required as security for the payment of an account for <br />electricity furnished to the Premises of a Customer. <br />B. Amount of Deposit <br />The amount of deposit required to establish or re-establish credit for <br />Residential Service shall be two times the estimated average monthly bill. <br />All other types of service shall be twice the average monthly bill. The <br />average is established by comparing a similar type service in the Utility. <br />However, in no case may the amount of deposit be less than the amount provided <br />for in Policy No. 27., "Customer Service Fees". <br />C. Return of Deposit <br />1. Upon discontinuance of service, the Utility shall refund the Customer's <br />deposit or the balance in excess of the unpaid bills for service. <br />2. After the Customer has paid bills for service for twelve (12) <br />consecutive months without having had more than one notice, that <br />service is to be disconnected because of non-payment on an overdue <br />bill, the Utility shall refund the deposit. <br />D. Turn -on Charge <br />A turn -on charge shall be made for turning on electric service. This charge <br />shall be included on the first utility billing statement as provided for in <br />Policy No. 26, "Customer Service Fees". <br />E. New Service Connections By Utility - Residential <br />No new service will be connected other than during Normal Working Hours. An <br />existing service will be considered new after it has been disconnected for a <br />period of five (5) working days. <br />F. New Service Connection by Utility - Other Than Residential <br />In general, no new service will be connected other than Normal Working Hours. <br />Businesses having a special requirement may contact the Utility for fees for <br />after hour service. Application for after hour connection must be made during <br />Normal Working Hours. <br />ISSUED BY <br />Thomas K.
