I RESOLUTION NO. x-12-96 <br />2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />3 TO APPOINT SPECIFIC REPRESENTATIVES TO THE INDEPENDENT <br />CITIES RISK MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY. <br />4 <br />5 WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a member of the Independent Cities Risk Management <br />6 Authority; <br />7 WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a member of the Liability & Workers' Compensation <br />8 Risk Management Committee(s); and <br />9 <br />WHEREAS, the Amendment to Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement For Insurance and <br />10 <br />11 Risk Management Purposes dated July 1, 1991, and the Risk Management Committee By -Laws <br />12 require that an elected official be appointed by resolution to the Governing Board of the Authority <br />13 and an alternate (the alternate may be a staff member) be appointed by resolution to act in the <br />14 primary member's absence; and <br />15 WHEREAS, the Amendment to Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement for Insurance and <br />16 <br />Risk Management Purposes dated July 1, 1991, and the Risk Management Committee By -Laws <br />17 <br />18 require that a staff member be appointed as a voting member of each Risk Management <br />19 Committee that the City is a member of and another representative to act in the primary member's <br />20 absence. <br />21 NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton does resolve as follows: <br />22 SECTION 1. That the City of Colton appoints the Honorable Betty L. Cook to serve on <br />23 <br />24 the Governing Board of the Independent Cities Risk Management Authority. <br />25 SECTION 2. That the City of Colton appoints Gracie Fernandez Harmon to serve on the <br />26 Governing Board of the Independent Cities Risk Management Authority in the absence of the <br />27 primary member noted in Section 1 above. <br />28 <br />1 <br />
