R-122-96 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF THE <br />RATE STUDY AGREEMENT BETWEEN HENWOOD ENERGY <br />SERVICES, INC., AND THE CITY OF COLTON <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a general law city, duly organized and existing under the <br />laws of the State of California and situated in the County of San Bernardino; and, <br />WHEREAS, State legislation has passed which will increase competition in the electric <br />utility industry in the near future; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton requires a thorough review of electric rates and policies to <br />ensure that the City -owned Electric Utility will continue to be competitive; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton, in conjunction with the City of Azusa, mailed out Requests <br />for Proposals for professional services to develop retail rates and policies for the new competitive <br />environment; and,- <br />WHEREAS, <br />nd, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton desires to enter into an agreement with Henwood Energy <br />Services, Inc., to conduct a five-year retail rate study; and, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Colton is <br />authorized to execute the agreement between the City of Colton and Henwood Energy Services, Inc., <br />as presented in "Exhibit A" , attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 5th day of November, 1996. <br />ATTEST: <br />Teresa Delgado ; <br />Interim City Clerk <br />oO'George VFulp <br />Mayor /F <br />
