R-124-96 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA REVISING CUSTOMER SERVICE POLICY TO ADD A <br />FINANCIAL PENALTY FOR METER TAMPERING <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a general law city, duly organized and existing <br />under the laws of the State of California and situated in the County of San Bernardino; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton has jurisdiction over the <br />implementation of rules and rates for the Electric Utility as propounded in the Customer <br />Service Policy; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Electric Utility has proposed adding a financial penalty for meter <br />tampering, attached as Exhibit "A" to the Customer Service Policy; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council must approve any changes in the Customer Service <br />Policy prior to the implementation of any proposed changes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Colton City Council finds that it <br />would be appropriate to adopt the revision to the Customer Service Policy, as presented <br />in "Exhibit A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, to become effective on January <br />1, 1997.
