POLICY NO. 18 <br />DISCONTINUANCE AND RECONNECTION OF SERVI <br />A. General <br />Page No. 30 <br />Failure of the Utility at any time either to suspend the delivery of service, <br />to terminate the service agreement, to resort to any other legal remedy, or <br />its adoption of either one or the other of such alternative, shall not affect <br />the Utility's right to resort to any such remedies for the same or any future <br />default or breach by the Customer. <br />B. Change of Occupancy <br />When change of occupancy takes place on any Premises supplied by the utility <br />with electric service, notice thereof shall be given to the Utility prior to <br />such change. The outgoing Customer will be held responsible for the charges <br />for all of the electricity supplied on the Premises until such notice is <br />received. <br />C. Default <br />1. In case the Residential Customer is delinquent and fails to pay an <br />amount due the utility, or in case the Customer fails to perform any of <br />the conditions of the applicable service policies, the supply of <br />electricity may be shut off, provided that the Utility shall not <br />discontinue service until fifteen (15) days after written notice has <br />been either Mailed or personally delivered. <br />2. After written notice has been provided as stated in Policy No. <br />17.,"Rendering and Payment of Bills", a forty-eight (48) hour door tag <br />may be placed in a conspicuous location and a fee shall be assessed as <br />provided for in Policy No. 27., "Customer Service Fees". <br />3. When the supply of electricity has been cut off due to default by a <br />Customer, the Utility shall not be obligated to restore service until <br />said Customer shall have made Application and paid all money due from <br />him to the Utility, including a reconnection charge as provided for in <br />Policy No. 27., "Customer Service Fees". This reconnection fee may be <br />assessed when a Customer is placed on a shut off list. <br />4. Where the Customer's account is guaranteed by deposit, such deposit <br />will be applied by the Utility in payment of the account when an <br />account is closed for non-payment. Any unused balance of deposit will <br />be refunded to the Customer. In case the deposit is not sufficient to <br />pay the account in full, the Utility will proceed to collect the <br />balance in the usual way provided by law for the collection of debts. <br />Service will not be reconnected until the Customer has restored his <br />deposit, or furnished other satisfactory guarantee of payment. <br />ISSUED BY <br />Gale A.
