1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />RESOLUTION NO. x-133-96 <br />A RESOLTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A CITIZENS OPTION <br />FOR PUBLIC SAFETY (COPS) GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF <br />$103,571 AND AMENDING THE ADOPTED BUDGET FOR <br />THE FISCAL YEAR 1996/97. <br />The City Council of the City of Colton, California does resolve as follows: <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to implement the COPS program and <br />receive funds from the State of California pursuant to AB 3229; and <br />WHEREAS, Government Code Section 30061 et seq. require the City to <br />establish as part of the COPS Program a Supplemental Law Enforcement Services <br />Fund, to be expended exclusively for front line law enforcement, including anti <br />gang and community crime prevention programs; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is eligible to accept $103,571 in additional <br />state funding for law enforcement, and community crime prevention programs for <br />FY 1996/97, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Colton accept a state grant to implement the COPS program in the amount of <br />$103,571 and amend the adopted Budget for the Fiscal Year 1996/97 in the <br />following manner: <br />COPS GRANT REVENUE <br />COPS Program Grant +$103,571 <br />COPS GRANT EXPENDITURES <br />COPS Program Grant Overtime $49,873 <br />Lease Equipment 1,375 <br />Office Equipment 8,000 <br />Miscellaneous Equipment 14,323 <br />Professional Services 301000 <br />Page 1 <br />
