2021 JULY 20 CC/CUA/CPFA/CHA MEETING 3 - PAY THE COSTS OF CERTAIN SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED BY THE COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT AND A PROPOSITION WITH RESPECT TO ESTABLISHING AN APPROPRIATIONS LIMIT FOR SAID COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT, A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, ACTING IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY OF COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 2021-1 (PUBLIC SAFETY), CITY OF COLTON, COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF A SPECIAL ELECTION IN SUCH COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT, AND A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, ACTING IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY OF COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 2021-1 (PUBLIC SAFETY) OF THE CITY OF COLTON, ESTABLISHING SUCH COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT. TIME AND PLACE FIXED TO CONSIDER A PUBLIC HEARING TO INTRODUCE BY TITLE ONLY ORDINANCE NO. O-07-21, AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON ACTING IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE LEGISLATIVE BODY OF CITY OF COLTON COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 2021-1 (PUBLIC SAFETY), COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE LEVY OF A SPECIAL TAX IN SUCH COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT, RESOLUTION NO. R-92-21, R-94-21, R-96-21, ORDINANCE O-07-21. Mayor Navarro declared the Public Hearing open. City Clerk Padilla submitted the Notice of the Public Hearing (on file in the City Clerk’s Office) and there were no reports of protests or objections thereto. Staff Presentation Director Tomich presented for Council consideration an overview of the agenda item and requested approval of staff’s recommendation. Public Comment None Motion and Second by CM González/CM Koperski to close the public hearing. Vote: Motion carried with MPT Cisneros absent. Council Discussion Discernment and discussion between Mayor and Councilmembers present, with clarification provided by staff: Director Tomich; and Mary Karlson, BB&K, Paralegal. Motion and Second by CM Suchil/CM González to approve and adopt Resolution No. R-96-21. Vote: Motion carried with MPT Cisneros absent. Motion and Second by CM González/CM Suchil approve and adopt Resolution No. R-92-21. Vote: Motion carried with MPT Cisneros absent. Motion by CM Suchil/CM Koperski to approve and adopt Resolution No. R-94-21. Vote: Motion carried with MPT Cisneros absent. Motion and Second by CM González/CM Suchil to waive full reading, read by title only and introduce Ordinance No. O-07-21. Vote: Motion carried with MPT Cisneros absent.
