(15) Set Public Hearing - Weed Abatement - Set for Public Hearing, for the Meeting of August 3, 2021, a Resolution Pertaining to Weed Abatement and the Placement of Parcels on the County Property Assessment Tax Rolls. MAYOR AND COUNCIL DISCUSSION ITEMS • Discussion and Possible Direction to Staff Pertaining to Fireworks CM Toro introduce the item for discussion and to develop a consensus to address the issued related to fireworks in the City of Colton; the Safe & Sane and illegal fireworks. Council Discussion Councilmember Toro shared his experience related to the July 4th fireworks this past month; encourage to reduce the fireworks vs. elimination; which included direction to staff to assist in reviving the discussion. Council input regulated towards not taking action that would affect the non-profit revenue for sports and other related revenue based fund raising. Mayor stated no consensus at this time as to how to proceed in addressing the occurrence of legal or illegal fireworks.
