R-51-96 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />PROVIDING FOR THE DESIGNATION OF A HISTORICAL LANDMARK <br />WITHIN THE CITY OF COLTON. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton has an Ordinance establishing rules <br />and regulations governing the designation and perpetuation of historic <br />and scenic properties (Ordinance Number 0-11-87); and <br />WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission did consider at <br />a duly and legally held public hearing the designation of the historic <br />landmark; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission, having studied <br />and researched the said designation, recommends approval of said <br />designation based on the finding that the structure has significant <br />character, interest, and value as part of the development and scenic <br />heritage of the City of Colton; and <br />WHEREAS, said property to be designated is delineated as <br />follows: <br />Landmark #46 - 688 North 7`h Street <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing has been duly held by the City <br />Council on May 21, 1996, on the aforesaid recommendation of the <br />Historic Preservation Commission. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of Colton that, based on the above findings, the structure located at <br />the aforementioned site is historically significant and should be <br />designated as a permanent historic property in the City of Colton. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 21 n day of May, 1996. <br />i <br />MALIK FREEMAN <br />City Clerk <br />G ORG FLI P, M R <br />City of Colton <br />
