R-77-96 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />OVERTURNING THE PLANNING COMMISSION DECISION CONCERNING <br />A REQUEST FOR AN ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE PLAN REVIEW, <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT, MAJOR VARIANCE, AND ENVIRONMENTAL <br />ASSESSMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SEVEN OUTDOOR <br />ADVERTISING SIGNS, FOR FILE INDEX NUMBER DCVS-18-96. <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Colton did <br />hold a Public Hearing for File Index Number DCVS-18-96 on June 25, <br />1996, to consider the applicant's request for an Architectural and Site <br />Plan Review, Conditional Use Permit, Major Variance, and <br />Environmental Assessment, for the construction of seven outdoor <br />advertising signs, for File Index Number DCVS-18-86. <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did deny the request; and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has appealed said decision within the <br />required time frame, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the appeal is justified, <br />based on the information provided. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />the City of Colton that the finding and decision of the Planning <br />Commission were incorrect and be it further resolved that the City <br />Council hereby overturns said findings and decision and thereby <br />approves the applicant's appeal, and the filing of a Negative <br />Declaration. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 16th day of <br />July, 1996. <br />GE GE .FUL OR <br />ATTEST: <br />MALIK D.
