R- 90 -96 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE <br />COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES TO <br />THE CITY RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL <br />ELECTION TO BE CONSOLIDATED WITH THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL <br />ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 1996. <br />WHEREAS, a Special Municipal Election, consolidated with the <br />statewide general election, is to be held in the City of Colton, <br />California, on November 5,1996; and, <br />WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of the election it is necessary <br />for the City of Colton to request services of the County of San <br />Bernardino; and, <br />WHEREAS, all necessary expenses in performing these services <br />shall be paid by the City of Colton; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. That pursuant to Section 10002 of the Elections Code <br />of the State of California, the City Council of the City of Colton hereby <br />requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Bernardino to <br />permit the Registrar of Voters to prepare and furnish to the City of <br />Colton all printed materials, all election supplies and equipment and <br />assistance, according to State law, as is necessary to conduct this <br />election. <br />Page 1 <br />
