R-07-97 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON ACCEPTING AN <br />ADDITIONAL $2,463 IN "ADULT LITERACY FUNDS" AND AMENDING THE <br />ADOPTED BUDGET FOR A TOTAL FY 96/97 APPROPRIATION OF $12,951 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton is dedicated to building a <br />more literate community; and <br />WHEREAS, the California State Library approved an additional $2,463 in "Adult <br />Literacy Funds", and <br />WHEREAS, a continuing need exists to augment the current literacy program which <br />involves volunteer tutors and adult learners in activities that promote parents and their children <br />reading together. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Colton accept an additional $2,463 in "Adult Literacy Funds" amending the adopted budget <br />for a total FY 96/97 appropriation of $12,951 as follows: <br />LIBRARY GRANT REVENUE <br />Adult Literacy Grant $12,951 <br />LIBRARY GRANT EXPENDITURE <br />Adult Literacy Grant - Equip. Expense $ 480 <br />" - Travel 2,000 <br />" - Office Supplies 100 <br />" Spec. Dept. Expense 5,371 <br />" Misc.
