R-01-22 <br />2 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />3 OF COLTON TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY OF COLTON'S <br />SHARE AS A MEMBER OF THE RIALTO BASIN <br />4 GROUNDWATER COUNCIL FOR AWARDING A <br />5 CONTRACT FOR THE PREPARATION OF A <br />GROUNDWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN TO STETSON <br />6 ENGINEERS. <br />7 WHEREAS, on December 1, 2020 the City Council of the City of Colton, approved the <br />8 Framework Agreement for the Rialto Basin Groundwater Council.; and <br />9 WHEREAS, the purpose of the Framework Agreement is for coordinating, developing <br />10 and implementing groundwater management activities that individually or cumulatively address <br />I I groundwater management in, and groundwater sustainability throughout, the Rialto Basin.; and <br />12 WHEREAS, the Settlement Agreement requires the Parties to develop, adopt and <br />13 implement a sustainable groundwater management plan, to include a new index well regime, the <br />14 possibility of establishing an operating safe yield, and/or other groundwater management tools; <br />15 and WHEREAS the Settlement Agreement requires the Parties to develop, adopt and <br />16 implement a sustainable groundwater management plan, to include a new index well regime, the <br />17 possibility of establishing an operating safe yield, and/or other groundwater management tools <br />18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Colton City, Council hereby <br />19 authorizes the City of Colton's share for awarding a contract for the preparation of a Groundwater <br />20 Management plan to Stetson Engineers. <br />21 PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Colton at a <br />22 regular meeting of said Council held on the 0 day of Janu 22, by the following <br />vote: <br />23 City of Colton <br />24 n( M/ <br />25 _FRAVAIRY6, Mayor <br />26 AT <br />27.LG�+K�/ •'c.�C/rt . <br />28 CAROLINA R.
