R-05-22 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />AUTHORIZING THE APPROPRIATION OF AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN <br />ACT (ARPA) ESSENTIAL PREMIUM PAY FOR CITY OF COLTON NON- <br />REPRESENTATED PART-TIME EMPLOYEES WHO WORKED DURING <br />THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC PERIOD OF JULY 1, 2020 THROUGH JUNE <br />30, 2021 <br />WHEREAS, The COVID-19 driven American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dispensed by the <br />Federal Department of Treasury, in which the City of Colton was a recipient of approximately <br />$14.8 million dollars, allows for premium pay to essential workers who worked during the <br />pandemic, including government workers providing essential municipal services. The City of <br />Colton workforce returned to work in June 2020 and have continuously been present back in the <br />office since that time providing essential services to the city residents; and <br />WHEREAS, This included part-time employees of the City of Colton who have <br />historically provided crucial and valuable services to the community of Colton as well as the <br />citywide organization.; and <br />WHEREAS, Resolution No. R-05-22 is a recognition of Colton's part-time employee's <br />services during the pandemic with an expression of the city's appreciation by extending to them <br />one-time monies afforded by the COVID-19 driven American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) <br />dispensed by the Federal Department of Treasury; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Colton <br />does hereby resolve as follows: <br />SECTION 1: The following ARPA payment to part-time employee's based on hours worked <br />during the 2020/2021 fiscal years and are still actively employed with the City of Colton as <br />follow: <br />• Time Period of work performed: 7/l/20 — 6/30/21 <br />• $1,000 for employee working more than 500 hours <br />
