R-15-98 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />PRIORITIZING THE TYPES OF PROJECTS TO BE FUNDED BY <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FOR THE <br />FISCAL YEAR 1998-99. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton elected to enter <br />into a Cooperation Agreement with the County of San Bernardino in order <br />to receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds; and, <br />WHEREAS, as a Cooperating City, the City of Colton anticipates <br />receiving $368,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for <br />Fiscal Year 1998-99; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City must inform the County as to which eligible <br />projects will be funded with CDBG funds. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the <br />City of Colton prioritizes and allocates CDBG funds for the following <br />projects for Fiscal Year 1998-99: <br />1. <br />Steelworkers Oldtimers Foundation <br />$ <br />8,000 <br />2. <br />Los Padrinos of Southern California, Inc. <br />$ <br />20,000 <br />3. <br />Option House, Inc., Restrooms Rehabilitation <br />$ <br />1,000 <br />4. <br />Department of Aging and Adult Services <br />$ <br />3,700 <br />5. <br />Code Enforcement Program <br />$140,000 <br />6. <br />Street Improvements - 13th Street Alleys <br />$ <br />25,988 <br />7. <br />Child Care Modular - Reche Canyon <br />$130,000 <br />8. <br />Adult Literacy Program - Luque Library <br />$ <br />23,500 <br />9. <br />Ballfield Improvements - Max Lofy Park <br />$ <br />13,200 <br />10. <br />Colton Contingency Account <br />$ <br />2,612 <br />TOTAL: $368,000 <br />NOTE: PROJECTS IN BOLDFACE TYPE ARE "PUBLIC SERVICE PROJECTS" <br />PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 17th day of February, <br />1998. <br />-qZRL GAYTAN, YO <br />A ST: <br />CAROLBARRERA <br />CITY CLERK <br />
