R- 4 0 - 9 8 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO APPOINT SPECIFIC REPRESENTATIVES TO THE INDEPENDENT CITIES RISK MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY. WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a member of the Independent Cities Risk Management Authority ("ICRMA"), a Joint Powers Authority created pursuant to the provisions of the California Government Code; and WHEREAS, the Amendment to Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement For Insurance And Risk Management Purposes dated July 9, 1997, and the Risk Management Committee By -Laws require that an elected official be appointed by resolution to the Governing Board of the Authority, an alternate (the alternate may be a staff member) be appointed by resolution to act in the primary member's absence, and a substitute alternate (may be a staff person) be appointed by resolution to act in the primary and alternate members absence; and NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton does resolve as follows: Section 1. That the City of Colton appoints Betty Cook (must be an elected official) to serve on the Governing Board of the Independent Cities Risk Management Authority. Section 2. That the City of Colton appoints Joanne Knowles (may be a staff person) to serve on the Governing Board of the Independent Cities Management Authority in the absence of the primary noted in Section 1 above. Section 3. That the City of Colton appoints Dennis Morris (may be a staff person) to serve on the Governing Board of the Independent Cities Risk Management Authority in the absence of the primary and alternate members noted in Sections 1 and 2 above.
