1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />RESOLUTION NO.R-51-98 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA, CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF <br />THE HOLDING OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE <br />HELD IN THE CITY ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 1998, FOR <br />THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN OFFICERS OF THE CITY AS <br />REQUIRED BY THE PROVISIONS OF THE LAWS OF THE <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATED TO GENERAL LAW CITIES. <br />WHEREAS, under the provisions of the laws relating to <br />General Law Cities in the State of California, a General <br />Municipal Election shall be held on November 3, 1998, for <br />the election of Municipal Officers; and. <br />WHEREAS, in the course of conduct of the election it is <br />necessary for the City to request services of the County; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this <br />service shall be paid by the City of Colton. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. That pursuant to the requirements of the <br />laws of the State of California relating to General Law <br />Cities within the State, there is called and ordered held in <br />the City of Colton, California on Tuesday, November 3, 1998, <br />a General Municipal Election of the qualified electors of <br />the City, to be consolidated with the Statewide General <br />Election, for the purpose of electing the following officers <br />of the City: <br />A. A Mayor to be elected at large for a full term of <br />four years; <br />1 <br />
