R_03_99 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT <br />OF PORTION OF HIGHLAND AVENUE WESTERLY OF 8T" STREET <br />BETWEEN PLEASANT VIEW AVENUE AND CITRUS AVENUE <br />I AS FOLLOWS: <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of Colton having elected to proceed under the <br />provisions of Section 8300 et sea. of the Streets and Highway Code of the State of California, and <br />having held a Public Hearing as provided therein, hereby finds from all the evidence submitted that all <br />that portion of Highland Avenue as shown by legal description found in Grant Deed as recorded in Book <br />2095, Page 63, recorded March 6, 1947, records of San Bernardino County, California described as <br />follows: <br />Beginning at a point in the westerly line of Eight Street which bears north along said westerly line <br />of Eighth Street 284.02 feet from the intersection of said westerly line of Eighth Street with the <br />northerly line of Citrus Street; thence west 4.05.50 feet; Thence north 55 feet; Thence east <br />405.50 feet to the westerly line of Eighth Street; Thence south along the westerly line of eighth <br />Street 55 feet to the point of beginning <br />Is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes and the public interest and convenience <br />requires the closing of that portion of said street, with the City reserving all utility easements. <br />Section 2. Accordingly, the City Council of the City of Colton hereby orders the vacation <br />of Highland Avenue westerly of Eighth Street, between Pleasant View Avenue and Citrus Avenue. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED, this day of January <br />KARL E.
