R_03_99 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF PORTION OF HIGHLAND AVENUE WESTERLY OF 8T" STREET BETWEEN PLEASANT VIEW AVENUE AND CITRUS AVENUE I AS FOLLOWS: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, Section 1. The City Council of the City of Colton having elected to proceed under the provisions of Section 8300 et sea. of the Streets and Highway Code of the State of California, and having held a Public Hearing as provided therein, hereby finds from all the evidence submitted that all that portion of Highland Avenue as shown by legal description found in Grant Deed as recorded in Book 2095, Page 63, recorded March 6, 1947, records of San Bernardino County, California described as follows: Beginning at a point in the westerly line of Eight Street which bears north along said westerly line of Eighth Street 284.02 feet from the intersection of said westerly line of Eighth Street with the northerly line of Citrus Street; thence west 4.05.50 feet; Thence north 55 feet; Thence east 405.50 feet to the westerly line of Eighth Street; Thence south along the westerly line of eighth Street 55 feet to the point of beginning Is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes and the public interest and convenience requires the closing of that portion of said street, with the City reserving all utility easements. Section 2. Accordingly, the City Council of the City of Colton hereby orders the vacation of Highland Avenue westerly of Eighth Street, between Pleasant View Avenue and Citrus Avenue.
