R-104-99 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO AUTHORIZE THE SUBMISSION OF <br />THE PROJECT TO THE SAN BERNARDINO ASSOCIATED GOVERNMENTS IN <br />RESPONSE TO THE CALL FOR PROJECTS. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton ("City") is a municipal corporation duly organized and <br />existing pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of California; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton desires to obtain additional grant funds for transportation <br />infrastructure projects; and <br />WHEREAS, on August 9, 1999, the City of Colton received official notice of a Call for <br />Projects ("Call') from the San Bernardino Associated Governments ("SANBAG"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Call identified two funding sources for transportation related projects as <br />Transportation enhancement Activities and Transportation Development Act dollars; and <br />WHEREAS, the City is eligible to apply for grant funds from SANBAG; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council supports staff's recommendation to submit the Colton <br />Avenue Bicycle Project for potential funding; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby authorizes the <br />submission of the Colton Avenue Bicycle Project for funding from SANBAG from the <br />Transportation Enhancement Activities Program and the Transportation Development Act <br />Program. <br />APPROVED AND ADOPTED BY the members of the City Council of the City of Colton this Th <br />day of December 1999. <br />ATTEST: <br />Carolina P.
