1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />RESOLUTION NO. g-11-99 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON APPROVING TOW TRUCK FRANCHISE <br />AGREEMENTS <br />WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Ordinance No. 0-18-98 setting forth criteria to <br />evaluate and select tow franchises at Chapter 10.40, et seq., of the Colton Municipal Code, <br />WHEREAS, under Chapter 10.40, et seq., the City shall award up to four (4) tow truck <br />franchises and currently has franchise agreements with two operators; <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to City Council direction, staff submitted a Request for <br />Qualifications for the evaluation and selection of two additional tow operators to bring the total <br />number of towing franchises to four; and <br />WHEREAS, Purchasing and Police Department staff have completed the evaluation and <br />selection process in accordance with Chapter 10.40, gI 5eq.; and based upon the results of the <br />evaluation criteria, staffrecommends that the City Council award franchise agreements to South State <br />Towing and Exclusive Towing in the forms attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and Exhibit `B", <br />respectively. <br />BE IT NOW THEREFORE RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />I. The City Council hereby approves the franchise agreements with South State <br />Towing and Exclusive Towing attached hereto as Exhibits "A" and `B", respectively. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of January, 1999. <br />ATTEST: <br />Carolina P.
