1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />RESOLUTION R-Ul-99 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA, REVISING THE ELECTRIC UTILITY CUSTOMER SERVICE <br />POLICY IN REGARD TO THE COMPETITION TRANSITION CHARGE <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is a general law city, duly organized and existing under <br />the laws of the State of California and situated in the County of San Bernardino; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton has jurisdiction over the <br />implementation of rules and rates for the Electric Utility as propounded in the Customer <br />Service Policy; and, <br />WHEREAS, State Assembly Bill 1890 establishes a structure for California electricity <br />customers to have a choice as to their energy provider; and, <br />WHEREAS, said Bill provides for the recovery of electric generation -related costs <br />incurred by electric utilities that may be stranded by such choice; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution R-111-97 on November 12, 1997, <br />establishing Rate Schedule CTC, a Competition Transition Charge, to recover said <br />generation costs; and, <br />WHEREAS, conditions in the newly developed energy market prompt the revision of <br />said Rate Schedule; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Colton City Council hereby revises <br />Rate Schedule CTC as attached and made a part hereof. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 2151 day <br />A ST: <br />CAROLINA P.
