Vernon Corridor <br />Redevelopment Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the installation and construction of the public <br />improvement projects as more fully described in this Resolution <br />shall implement the Redevelopment Plan for the Mt. Vernon <br />Corridor Redevelopment Project and assist with the elimination of <br />blighting conditions which affect the redevelopment project area; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Agency with the consent of the City may draw <br />available funds from the Mt. Vernon Corridor Bond Account to pay <br />for the installation and construction of the public improvement <br />projects as described in this Resolution. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The facts set forth in the recitals of this <br />Resolution are true and correct. This Resolution is hereby <br />adopted in order to evidence the consent of the City Council for <br />the Agency to pay for all or part of the value of the land and <br />public right-of-way and the cost of the installation and <br />construction of any of the public improvement projects identified <br />in Section 2 of this Resolution. This Resolution is further <br />adopted to comply with the provisions of Health and Safety Code <br />Section 33445. <br />Section 2. The citizen advisory committee has <br />recommended to the Agency as of January 18, 2000 that the <br />following public improvement projects, which are situated inside <br />COLT/0001/DOC/296 <br />11/18/99 1:15 jmw <br />- 2 - <br />
