Page No. 34 <br />B. Meter Tests <br />1 . Whenever the accuracy of an electric meter is questioned, the Customer may demand that <br />the meter be examined and tested by the Utility. Such demand shall be accompanied by a <br />deposit as provided for in Policy No. 25., "Customer Service Fees". Upon receipt of such <br />demand and deposit, the Utility shall cause the meter to be examined and tested. <br />Customers are encouraged to witness such tests, or to have their representative present at <br />such tests. <br />a. Fast Meters - If the meter is found to register over 2% fast, the deposit will be <br />refunded, and the customer's account will be credited in the amount of the <br />overcharge for the period the meter was in use, but not exceeding six months. <br />b. Slow Meters - If the meter is found to register over 2% slow, the deposit will be <br />refunded, and the Utility will render a bill to the Customer for electricity <br />consumed but not billed for a period not exceeding six months. <br />C. Accurate Meters - If the meter is found to register within an accuracy of plus or <br />minus 2%, the deposit will be retained by the Utility, and no charge or credit will <br />be made to the Customer's account. <br />d. When upon test, any meter is found to be non -registering, the Utility may bill the <br />Customer for the estimated usage of electric consumption. The estimated usage <br />shall be based on historic consumption or other methods from the time the meter <br />is deemed non -registering. <br />I S SUED BY <br />Thomas K.
