R-79-00 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON ACCEPTING AN ADDITIONAL $14,900 IN "FAMILIES <br />FOR LITERACY" FUNDS AND AMENDING THE ADOPTED BUDGET <br />FOR A TOTAL FY 2000/2001 APPROPRIATION OF $319900 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton is dedicated to building a <br />more literate community; and <br />WHEREAS, the California State Library approved an additional $14,900 in <br />"Families for Literacy" funds; and <br />WHEREAS, a continuing need exists to augment the current literacy program, <br />which involves tutors and adult learners in activities that promote parents and their <br />children reading together. , <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Colton accept an additional <br />$14,900 in "Families for Literacy" funds amending the adopted budget for a total <br />2000/2001 appropriation of $31,900 AS FOLLOWS: <br />LIBRARY GRANT REVENUE - Families for Literacy Grant: 319900 <br />LIBRARY GRANT EXPENDITURE - Families for Literacy Grant: <br />Salaries-Misc. 9,150; Salaries -Benefits 5,500; Taxable Benefit 350; Travel <br />and Meetings 400; Office Supplies 100; Operating Supplies 169400. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 3rd DAY OF OCTOBER 2000. <br />1.
