R-96-00 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />CLOSING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT <br />PROJECT, "CODE ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM" AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE RE -PROGRAMMING OF $272,164.84 OF <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS TO THE <br />ACTIVITIES, "HISTORIC PRESERVATION — COLTON MUSEUM, <br />$50000099 AND "COLTON CONTINGENCY/UNPROGRAMMED <br />FUNDS ACCOUNT, $222,164.84." <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton has determined that <br />the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) project "Code Enforcement <br />Program" does not permit blight elimination outside designated CDBG Target <br />Areas; and <br />WHEREAS, the City's Code Enforcement Program is designed to <br />inspect Municipal Code violations and address blighted, unsafe and unhealthy <br />conditions in all neighborhoods on a citywide basis; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton wishes to allocate <br />Community Development Block Grant funds to an existing Community <br />Development Block Grant eligible activity that requires additional funding in <br />order to proceed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the <br />City of Colton approves the closing of the project "Code Enforcement <br />Program" as a CDBG funded activity, and authorizes the re -programming of <br />Community Development Block Grant funds in the following manner: <br />1. Code Enforcement Program (transfer from) x272,164.84 <br />2. Historic Preservation —Colton Museum (transfer to) $ 503000.00 <br />3. Colton Contingency/Unprogrammed Funds (transfer to) $222,164.84 <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 5`h day of December, <br />2000. <br />DEIRDRE H.
