RESOLUTION NO. R- 101-01 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE COLTON CITY COUNCIL APPROVING AN <br />AMENDMENT TO THE INDEPENDENT CITIES RISK MANAGEMENT <br />AUTHORITY JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT ADMITTING TO MEMBERSHIP <br />THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS <br />WHEREAS, the City <br />of Colton is <br />a member <br />of the Independent <br />Cities Risk <br />Management Authority ("ICRMA"), a <br />Joint Powers <br />Authority, <br />which provides risk <br />management <br />programs of insurance to protect its members from the effect of unexpected losses and to provide <br />excess insurance and other services, including risk management, loss prevention, claims adjustment, <br />insurance brokerage, legal and other services related to its purpose; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Palm Springs has applied for membership in the ICRMA; and <br />WHEREAS, the admittance to membership of the City of Palm Springs has been <br />approved by the ICRMA Governing Board; and <br />WHEREAS, the ICRMA Governing Board has recommended amendments to the Joint <br />Exercise of Powers Agreement ("JPA"), a copy of which amended JPA has been provided to this City <br />Council; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton does hereby find, <br />determine and declare as follows: <br />1. This City Council does approve the amended JPA as approved by the ICRMA <br />Governing Board and as presented to this City Council; <br />2. This City Council does hereby approve the admittance of the City of Palm Springs <br />as a member of the ICRMA; <br />1 <br />
