I RESOLUTION NO. R-122-01 <br />2 <br />3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />CALIFORNIA INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE FORMATION OF <br />4 THE LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING DISTRICT NO. 2 AND THE LEVY <br />5 AND COLLECTION OF ASSESSMENTS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2002/2003 <br />6 The City Council of the City of Colton, California (hereafter referred to as the <br />7 Council") does resolve as follows: <br />8 WHEREAS, The City Council desires to initiate proceedings for the formation o <br />9 the Landscaping and Lighting District No. 2 (hereafter referred to as the "District" <br />10 pursuant to the provisions of the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, Part 2 of Divisiol <br />11 15 of the Streets and Highways Code of California beginning with Section 2250( <br />12 (hereafter referred to as the "Act"), that provides for the formation of an assessment distric <br />13 and the levy and collection of assessments by the County of San Bernardino for the City o <br />14 Colton to pay the maintenance and services of landscaping, lighting and all appurtenan- <br />15 facilities and operations related thereto; and, <br />16 WHEREAS, the City Council has retained MuniFinancial for the purpose of <br />17 assisting with the formation of and annual levy of the District and to prepare and file a <br />report with the City Clerk in accordance with the Act; <br />18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED BY <br />19 THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE LANDSCAPING AND LIGHTING DISTRICT NO. 2A <br />20 FOLLOWS: <br />21 Sec— Annual Lew Report. The City Council hereby orders MuniFinancial t( <br />prepare the Engineer's Report concerning the formation and levy o <br />22 assessments for the District in accordance with Chapter 2, Article 1, Sectioi <br />23 22585 (d) of the Act. <br />24 Section 2 Proposed improvements: The improvements within the District include: the <br />operation, maintenance and servicing of landscape improvements alonc <br />25 Meridian Avenue, Pepper Avenue, Randall Avenue, Michael D'Arcy Lane <br />26 and Porfirio Lane. The Engineer's Formation and Annual Levy Repor <br />describes the improvements. <br />27 <br />28 <br />Section 3 Boundaries and Designation: The District consists of all parcels located <br />south of Randall Avenue and west of the Edison Easement; North of San <br />Bernardino Avenue and east of Pepper Avenue, development areas <br />known as "Pacific Century Homes — Tract Nos. 14158 and 14159; and <br />
