R-18-01 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AUTHORIZING THE REPROGRAMMING OF $197,400 OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FROM THE COLTON CONTINGENCY/UNPROGRAMMED FUNDS ACCOUNT TO THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS: $82,400 TO "CHILD CARE MODULAR UNIT -WILSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL," $40,000 TO "STREET IMPROVEMENTS-WALTERS, MONROE, VERMONT, FUR, PENN & MILLER STREETS, #104-25205," AND $75,000 TO "SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS -SHASTA DRIVE, ILLINOIS & WESTERN AVENUES, #104-26105." WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton has determined that a surplus of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds exists from prior year completed Community Development Block Grant projects; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton wishes to allocate Community Development Block Grant funds to two current on-going CDBG projects that will construct sidewalk and street improvements in two neighborhoods that will principally benefit low and moderate income persons; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton wishes to allocate Community Development Block Grant funds to a new Community Development Block Grant eligible activity that requires additional funding in order to proceed. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Colton authorizes the re -programming of Community Development Block Grant funds in the following manner: 1. Colton Contingency/Unprogrammed Funds (transfer from) $197,400 2. Child Care Modular Unit -Wilson Elementary School (transfer to) $ 82,400 3. Street Improvements -Walters, Monroe, Vermont, Fur, Penn and Millers Streets, #104-25205 (transfer to) $ 40,000 4. Sidewalk Improvements -Shasta Drive, Illinois and Western Avenues, #104-26105 (transfer to) $ 75,000 PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 6'h day of March, 2001. L:D . -fa, DEIRDRE H.
