R-18-01 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />AUTHORIZING THE REPROGRAMMING OF $197,400 OF COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FROM THE COLTON <br />CONTINGENCY/UNPROGRAMMED FUNDS ACCOUNT TO THE FOLLOWING <br />PROJECTS: $82,400 TO "CHILD CARE MODULAR UNIT -WILSON <br />ELEMENTARY SCHOOL," $40,000 TO "STREET IMPROVEMENTS-WALTERS, <br />MONROE, VERMONT, FUR, PENN & MILLER STREETS, #104-25205," AND <br />$75,000 TO "SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS -SHASTA DRIVE, ILLINOIS & <br />WESTERN AVENUES, #104-26105." <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton has determined that a surplus of <br />Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds exists from prior year completed <br />Community Development Block Grant projects; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton wishes to allocate Community <br />Development Block Grant funds to two current on-going CDBG projects that will construct <br />sidewalk and street improvements in two neighborhoods that will principally benefit low <br />and moderate income persons; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton wishes to allocate Community <br />Development Block Grant funds to a new Community Development Block Grant eligible <br />activity that requires additional funding in order to proceed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Colton <br />authorizes the re -programming of Community Development Block Grant funds in the <br />following manner: <br />1. Colton Contingency/Unprogrammed Funds (transfer from) <br />$197,400 <br />2. Child Care Modular Unit -Wilson Elementary School <br />(transfer to) <br />$ 82,400 <br />3. Street Improvements -Walters, Monroe, Vermont, Fur, <br />Penn and Millers Streets, #104-25205 (transfer to) <br />$ 40,000 <br />4.
