R-37-22 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL AMENDING THE <br />FY2021-22 ADOPTED BUDGET TO APPROPRIATE $20,000 FROM <br />GENERAL FUND RESERVE BALANCE TO THE FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT VEHICLE OPERATING EXPENSE ACCOUNT <br />WHEREAS, the Budget for Fiscal Year commencing July 1, 2021 and ending June 30, <br />2022 was approved and adopted by Resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the approved budget is in accordance with all applicable ordinances of the <br />City and applicable statues of the State; and <br />WHEREAS, the re -allocation of appropriations between department activities may be <br />made by the City Manager. Amendments (increases/decreases) to the budget shall be by approval <br />and Resolution of the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, fuel usage for the Fire Department has been increasing over the last four <br />years; and <br />WHEREAS, fuel prices have increased this year due to inflation and other factors; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Department needs an additional $20,000 appropriation in order to <br />fuel fire engines and staff vehicles through June 30, 2022. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Amend the adopted FY2021-22 budget to increase appropriations in <br />General Fund Fire Department Operations Vehicle Maintenance Account Number 100- <br />6090-6091-2210-0000-000 by $20,000 for the increased fuel costs. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19'h day f Ap 1, 2022. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA R.
