R -54A-01 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON ORDERING THE DISCONTINUANCE AND ABANDONMENT OF A PORTION OF VETERAN'S 4 PARK AS A PUBLIC PARK 5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton approved Resolution No. R-44-01 6 at their meeting of June 5, 2001, initiating proceedings to discontinue and abandon the use as a 7 public park a portion of Veteran's Park, and s e WHEREAS, a public hearing on the proposed discontinuance and abandonment of a portion of Veteran's Park was held on July 17, 2001 in the City Council Chambers, and III WHEREAS, specific legal requirements regarding discontinuance and abandonment of 12 the land were satisfied by the publishing of the resolution initiating the proceedings the weeks 13 14 of June 11, 2001 and June 18, 2001, in a daily newspaper circulated in the City and by posting 151 three notices of the adoption of the resolution on June 26, 2001, along the exterior boundaries 161 of the area proposed to be discontinued and abandoned as a public park, and 171 WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to order the land described in the Resolution 18 R-44-01 discontinued and abandoned, and 19 20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 211 OF COLTON: 221 SECTION 1.
