R-42-22 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A LETTER OF <br />AGREEENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF COLTON AND THE <br />COLTON POLICE CIVILIAN EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION <br />WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 3500 (Meyers-Milias-Brown Act) <br />requires that public employers meet and confer regarding wages, hours, and other terms and <br />conditions of'employment; and <br />WHEREAS, the civilian employees of the Colton Police Department, pursuant to the <br />California Government Code Section 3500 (Meyers-Milias-Brown Act), successfully elected to <br />exit from the Teamsters General Employee Association and form an Association for civilian <br />employees of the police department; and <br />WHEREAS, the City's negotiation team met and conferred with the Colton Police <br />Civilian Employees Association (CPCEA) representatives- to discuss terms and conditions of <br />employment; and <br />WHEREAS, The City and CPCEA agree that the wages, hours, and terms and conditions <br />of employment for the classifications in the newly formed Non -Sworn Bargaining Unit shall <br />continue to be dictated by the terms of the Teamsters MOU, which is attached hereto as "Exhibit <br />A", through June 30, 2025. <br />
