R-45-22 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION <br />OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA STATE <br />LIBRARY AND AMEND THE FY 2021-2022 BUDGET TO <br />ACCEPT $60,421 IN GRANT FUNDING FOR LITERACY <br />PROGRAMS. <br />WHEREAS, Each year the Colton Public Library receives funding from the California <br />State Library for Literacy Services provided to the community based on community size <br />and services; and <br />WHEREAS, notification has been received that the Colton Public Library will receive <br />$42,052 more than anticipated to support adult, youth and family literacy services, which <br />must be fully expended by December 31, 2022. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton does hereby resolve as <br />follows: <br />Section 1: The staff report accompanying this resolution is found to be true, adopted as <br />findings, and incorporated into this resolution. <br />Section 2: To amend the FY2021-22 budget to increase revenue in Library Grants Revenue <br />Account Number 211-5772-000 to $60,421 and increase appropriations by $42,061 in the <br />amounts below: <br />211-6200-7101-1010 Part Time Salaries Misc. $ 961 <br />211-6200-7101-1040 PT Salaries $ 6,300 <br />211-6200-7104-2300 Office Supplies/Postage $ 3,500 <br />211-6200-7104-2301 Supplies & Equipment $12,300 <br />211-6200-7104-2302 Library Materials $19,000. <br />Section 3: The City Manager is hereby authorized to sign the applicable documents on <br />behalf of the City to execute this agreement. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7" SYay of June, 2022. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA R.
