RESOLUTION NO. R-18-22 <br />I A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO AMEND <br />THE FISCAL YEAR 2021/22022 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET TO <br />APPROPRIATE $37,080 FOR THE I-10/MT. VERNON AVENUE INTERCHANGE <br />3 PROJECT <br />4 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton desires to improve the safety of the <br />5 bridges and traffic circulation within City jurisdiction; and <br />6 WHEREAS, the City of Colton and San Bernardino Transportation Commission <br />7 <br />(SBCTA) intends to improve the interchanges on Pepper Avenue and Mt. Vernon Avenue along <br />8 <br />the I-10 Freeway corridor in the City of Colton; and <br />9 <br />10 WHEREAS, the Pepper Avenue and Mt. Vernon Avenue Interchange projects are jointly <br />I 1 funded by SBCTA and the City of Colton thus providing an opportunity to complete the projects <br />I , at a relatively low cost to the City; and <br />13 WHEREAS, the City of Colton needs to transfer local traffic impact funds in the amount <br />14 of $37,080 from Pepper Avenue Interchange Project to Mt. Vernon Avenue Interchange to meet <br />15 the City's funding obligation for the Pepper Avenue Interchange Project; and <br />16 WHEREAS, a budget appropriation for approved activities, not listed in the 2021-2022 <br />17 <br />Fiscal Year budget is required and must be approved by resolution of the City Council. <br />18 <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />19 <br />CITY OF COLTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />20 <br />Section 1 The Recital preceding in this Resolution are true and correct and are <br />21 <br />22 incorporated into this Resolution by reference. <br />23 Section 2 The City Council authorizes the following amendment for the Fiscal Year <br />24 2021/2022 budget: <br />25 • Decrease appropriations in Traffic Impact Fee Fund Professional Services <br />26 Account No. 249-1000-6900-2350-0000-000 ( I-10/Pepper Avenue Interchange <br />27 Project) by $37,080; and <br />28 <br />
