R-116-02 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA, AFFORDING COMPENSATION AND <br />SUPPLEMENTAL COMPENSATION TO THE CITY <br />TREASURER AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. R-42-02 <br />WHEREAS, City Ordinance No. 829 fixes the salary for the City Treasurer at $225 per <br />month, and authorizes the City Council to provide, by resolution, supplemental compensation <br />for additional responsibilities; and <br />WHEREAS, the present City Treasurer, Michael J. Williams, performs comprehensive <br />treasury services and, in addition, City Treasurer Williams performs investment, financial <br />forecasting and money management services for the City. <br />NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Supplemental salary for City Treasurer, Michael Williams shall be fixed <br />at $3,120 per month, in addition to the sum of $225 per month provided by Ordinance No. <br />829, for a combined salary of $3,345 per month, effective February 19, 2002. <br />Effective October 1, 2002, the vehicle allowance of $400 shall merge with the sum of <br />$3,345 for a total salary of $3,745 to be paid per month. <br />SECTION 2. The supplemental salary for the City treasurer is specifically allocated in <br />compensation for the investment, forecasting and money management services; should the <br />City Treasurer cease to perform such services, the City may choose to reduce or delete the <br />Treasurer's supplemental salary. <br />1 <br />
