R-142-02 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />PROVIDING FOR AN INCREASE IN APPROPRIATION FOR THE <br />DEMOLITION AND REHABILITATION OF AMENITIES AT THE <br />VETERAN'S PARK BALL FIELD <br />WHEREAS, the concrete bleachers and dugouts of the Veteran's Park ballfield, <br />are forty years old, in disrepair and in need of being replaced, and <br />WHEREAS, the drinking fountain located at the site is not an approved <br />Americans With Disabilities Act fountain, and <br />WHEREAS, a new site for a parking lot has been determined and must be <br />developed, and <br />WHEREAS, the cost of this project will be $40,000 with funding to come from <br />the City's Park Development Fund Unappropriated Fund Balance, Account #248- <br />2970. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CIY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON: <br />SECTION 1. Approve an appropriation of $40,000 from the City's Park <br />Development Fund for the demolition and rehabilitation of amenities at the Veteran's <br />Park Ball Field to account number 248-6950-6959-3890. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this V Day of December, 2002. <br />ATTEST: <br />AROLINA P.
