I RESOLUTION NO. R-25-02 <br />2 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />3 COLTON, CALIFORNIA ADOPTING RULES AND REGULATIONS <br />4 FOR TAXI SERVICE <br />5 WHEREAS, Chapter 5.48 of the Colton Municipal Code contains regulations for the provision <br />6 of taxi service in the City of Colton; and <br />7 WHEREAS, Section 5.48.110(A), authorizes the City Council to adopt additional rules and <br />8 regulations for the provision of taxi service to supplement the requirements of Chapter 5.48; and <br />9 WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to adopt such rules and regulations to provide additional <br />10 guidance to taxi operators, the Police Chief and other City staff and to promote the health, safety and <br />11 welfare of the public. <br />12 BE IT NOW THEREFORE RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />13 <br />14 Section 1. The City Council of the City of Colton hereby adopts the rules and <br />regulations for taxi services attached hereto as Exhibit "A" to this resolution. <br />15 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of February_ , 2002. <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />DEIRDRE H.
