R-93-22 <br />l <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />2 ADOPTING A REPORT AND STATEMENT OF EXPENSES FOR THE <br />CITY'S WEED ABATEMENT PROGRAM AND IMPOSING A LIEN <br />.3 UPON PROPERTY FOR PAYMENT THEREOF <br />4 WHEREAS: The Weed Abatement Program of the City of Colton has been carried.out in <br />5 <br />accordance With Municipal Code.requirements; and <br />6 <br />WHEREAS: The City Council held .a hearing on the statement of expenses for abatement <br />7 <br />of the tluisances and had read and:.considered the staff report and all objections or protests. <br />9 NOW, THEREFORE, THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOLES <br />10 HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />11 That the staff report, and statement of expenses attached hereto as Exhibit. A and <br />12 incorporated herein by reference as submitted to the City Council, together with <br />13 <br />objections and protests; is hereby confirmed and: adopted as amended; and <br />14 <br />That the cost of the abatement work done or caused to be done by the City shall be paid. by <br />15 <br />16 <br />August 10,.2022; and <br />17 That if said costs are not. paid by August.10, 2022., they shall constitute a lien upon the <br />19 real. property against which the nuisance was abated. and shall be. collected either by a <br />19 personal civil suit against the person creating, causing, or permitting the nuisance or by a <br />20 <br />special assessment against. thereat property; and <br />.21 <br />That the City Cleric shall fie a -certified copy of this Resolution and report and statement <br />22 <br />Of expenses with the San Bernardino County Auditor, Assessor and Tax Collector, and <br />23 <br />24 shall direct the auditor to enter the amounts of the charges contained in the report and <br />25 statement.of expenses against the real property described in the report and statement of <br />26 expense; and <br />27 III <br />28 <br />111 <br />
