Cisneros (absent/excused) <br /> <br />CEREMONIAL MATTERS <br />Presentations, Awards, Proclamations <br /> <br /> Proclamation - Purple Heart City <br />CM Echevarria read the Proclamation declaring the 17th day of September 2022, as the day in the City of Colton <br />to remember and recognize veterans who are recipients of the Purple Heart Medal; the contributions and <br />sacrifices of the men and women from the City of Colton who served in the Armed Forces have been vital in <br />defending the hard won freedoms and liberties of our Constitution; many citizens of our community have been <br />awarded the Purple Heart Medal in recognition of being wounded while engaged in combat with an enemy <br />force, construed as a singularly meritorious act of essential services. <br /> <br /> Recognition - Colton Police Officer Edgar Perez for Life Saving Actions <br />Mayor Navarro presented a Certificate of Recognition on behalf of the Mayor and Members of the Colton City <br />Council; the citizens of the City of Colton recognize Officer Perez in appreciation for the prompt response and <br />unselfish act of rescuing an elderl y female that was choking by performing the Heimlich maneuver on August 8, <br />2022, that resulted in saving her life; accepted by Colton Police Officer Edgar Perez. <br /> <br />*************************************************************************** <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS <br /> <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF SEPTEMBER <br />6, 2022. <br /> <br />GIFT DISCLOSURES <br />Mayor Navarro asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a conflict of interest <br />pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030.
