R-56-02 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING AS ALTERNATE FOR THE CURRENT <br />COUNCIL MEMBER, THE DIRECTOR OF WATER AND WASTEWATER <br />OPERATIONS TO THE JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT <br />COLTON/SAN BERNARDINO TREATMENT AND RECLAMATION <br />AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton entered into the "Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement <br />Colton/San Bernardino Treatment and Reclamation Authority", effective as of the 2nd of <br />August 1994; and <br />WHEREAS, the JPA specifies in Article IV, Governing Body, Section 4.2, that each <br />Party shall "designate and appoint, by resolution of its governing body, two individuals, one of <br />whom shall be a member of such Party's governing body, to act as that Party's <br />representatives on the Board of Directors of the Authority", and, Section 4.3 states that: "The <br />vote, assent or approval of the Parties in any matter requiring such vote, assent or approval <br />hereunder shall be evidenced by a certified copy of the resolution or a minute order of the <br />governing body of each Party, filed with the Authority"; and <br />WHEREAS, the recently added Director of Water and Wastewater Operations can <br />assume the position of Alternate. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE UTILITY AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />The Director of Water and Wastewater Operations will serve as an Alternate for the <br />designated Council Member on the Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement Colton/San <br />Bernardino Treatment and Reclamation Authority. <br />PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 7th day of May 2002. <br />ATTEST: <br />& Ll - k- —",o k!�OA <br />CAROLINA P.
