ORDINANCE Of THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, . <br />CALIFORNIA,: AMEND CERTAIN SECTIONS IN CHAPTERS 18.04; AND <br />18.06. OF TITLE. 18 (ZONINGG) OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE <br />RELATED TO. DEFINITIONS, AND PERMITTED USES, (FILE INDEX <br />NO. DAP-001-755) <br />WHEREAS, on August. 23, 2022, the Planning Commission of the City of Colton <br />("Planning. Commission") conducted a. duly noticed public hearing and recommended the City <br />Council of the City of Colton ("City Council") amend Title 18 of the Colton Municipal Code (the. <br />"Municipal Code"). Following the conclusion of said hearing, the Planning Commission adopted <br />their Resolution No. R-17-22,.. recommending approval. to the City Council to amend ("Zoning <br />Text Amendment") Chapters 1.8.04 and 18m of Title 18 of the Colton Municipal Code; and. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the Zoning Text Amendment is <br />consistent With the City of Colton General Plan ("General Plan"} as indicated below; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the proposed Zoning Text Amendment <br />is in the best.interests of the: City, and that it would be in the public interest to approve the Zone <br />Text Amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Zoning Text Amendmentwas reviewed, studied and found exempt from <br />the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA') as more fully described below; and <br />WHEREAS, on October 4, 2022;.the City Council held a duly noticed public hearing at <br />which persons wishing to testify in connection with the.Zoning Text.Amendment were heard and <br />the Zoning Text Amendment was comprehensively reviewed. <br />WHEREAS, all other legal prerequisites. to the adoption of this .Ordinance have occurred. <br />23152.06020M617662.1 <br />
