R -99A-02 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />PROVIDING FOR THE DESIGNATION OF A HISTORICAL LANDMARK <br />WITHIN THE CITY OF COLTON <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton has an Ordinance establishing rules and regulations <br />governing the designation and perpetuation of historic resources and properties (Ordinance <br />No. 0-11-96); and <br />WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission did consider at a duly and legally <br />held public hearing the designation of the historic landmark; and <br />WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission, having studied and researched the <br />said designation, recommends approval of said designation based on the finding that the <br />structure has significant character, interest, and value as part of the development of the <br />heritage of the City of Colton; and <br />WHEREAS, said property to be designated is delineated as follows: <br />Landmark #47 - 140 West `C" Street <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing has been duly held by the City Council on September 3, <br />2002, on the aforesaid recommendation of the Historic Preservation Commission. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Colton that, <br />based on the above findings, the structure located at the aforementioned site is historically <br />significant and should be designated as a permanent historic property in the City of Colton. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 3`d day of September, 2002. <br />ATrEST: <br />CAROLINA P.
