1 RESOLUTION NO. R-123-22 <br /> 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br /> 3 CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL <br /> ELECTION HELD ON NOVEMBER 8, 2022, DECLARING THE RESULT AND <br /> 4 SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS PROVIDED BY LAW. <br /> 5 WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of <br /> 6 <br /> Colton, California, on Tuesday,November 8, 2022, as required by law; and <br /> 7 <br /> 8 <br /> WHEREAS, notice of the Election was duly given in the time, form and manner as <br /> 9 provided by law; that voting precincts were properly established; that election officers were <br /> 10 appointed and that in all respects the election was held and conducted and the votes were cast, <br /> 11 received and canvassed and the returns made and declared in the time, form and manner as <br /> 12 <br /> required by the provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California for holding of <br /> 13 <br /> elections in general law cities; and <br /> 14 <br /> 15 WHEREAS,pursuant to Resolution No. R-31-22 adopted May 4, 2022 and Resolution <br /> 16 No. R-64-22 adopted June 21, 2022 the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters canvassed <br /> 17 the returns of the elections and has certified the results to this City Council, the results are <br /> 18 <br /> received, attached and made a part hereof as Exhibit"A". <br /> 19 <br /> 20 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br /> 21 <br /> CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS <br /> 22 <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> 23 <br /> 24 SECTION 1. That the whole number of ballots cast in the precincts except vote by <br /> 25 mail voter ballots and provisional ballots,was 1190. <br /> 26 That the whole number of vote by mail voter ballots cast in the City was 6906, making <br /> 27 <br /> a total of 8096 ballots cast in the City. <br /> 28 <br /> 1 <br />
