R-22-03 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AUTHORIZING THE REPROGRAMMING OF $146,314.84 OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FROM THE COLTON CONTINGENCY/UNPROGRAMMED FUNDS ACCOUNT TO THE FOLLOWING PROJECTS: $126,314.84 TO "STREET IMPROVEMENTS-WALTERS, MONROE, VERMONT, FUR, PENN & MILLER STREETS, #104-25205/1967," AND $20,000 TO "VETERANS PARK/LUQUE COMMUNITY CENTER IMPROVEMENTS, #29263." WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton has determined that a surplus of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds exists from prior year completed Community Development Block Grant projects; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton wishes to allocate Community Development Block Grant funds to one current on-going CDBG project that will construct sidewalk and street improvements in local neighborhoods that will principally benefit low and moderate income persons and one new proposed project that will restore park facilities and renovate the landscape and irrigation system at the Pete Luque Community Center; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton wishes to further the goals and objectives of the Community Development Block Grant Program by increasing the timely expenditure of CDBG funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Colton authorizes the re -programming of Community Development Block Grant funds in the following manner: 1. Colton Contingency/Unprogrammed Funds (transfer from) $146,314.84 2. Veterans Park/Luque Community Center Improvements, #29263 (transfer to) $ 20,000.00 3. Street Improvements -Walters, Monroe, Vermont, Fur, Penn and Millers Streets, #104-25205/1967 (transfer to) $126,314.84 PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 1' day of April, 2003. 4TTEST: ROLINA P.
