R-22-03 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />AUTHORIZING THE REPROGRAMMING OF $146,314.84 OF COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FROM THE COLTON <br />CONTINGENCY/UNPROGRAMMED FUNDS ACCOUNT TO THE FOLLOWING <br />PROJECTS: $126,314.84 TO "STREET IMPROVEMENTS-WALTERS, MONROE, <br />VERMONT, FUR, PENN & MILLER STREETS, #104-25205/1967," AND $20,000 <br />TO "VETERANS PARK/LUQUE COMMUNITY CENTER IMPROVEMENTS, <br />#29263." <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton has determined that a surplus of <br />Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds exists from prior year completed <br />Community Development Block Grant projects; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton wishes to allocate Community <br />Development Block Grant funds to one current on-going CDBG project that will construct <br />sidewalk and street improvements in local neighborhoods that will principally benefit low and <br />moderate income persons and one new proposed project that will restore park facilities and <br />renovate the landscape and irrigation system at the Pete Luque Community Center; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton wishes to further the goals and <br />objectives of the Community Development Block Grant Program by increasing the timely <br />expenditure of CDBG funds. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Colton <br />authorizes the re -programming of Community Development Block Grant funds in the <br />following manner: <br />1. Colton Contingency/Unprogrammed Funds (transfer from) $146,314.84 <br />2. Veterans Park/Luque Community Center Improvements, <br />#29263 (transfer to) $ 20,000.00 <br />3. Street Improvements -Walters, Monroe, Vermont, Fur, <br />Penn and Millers Streets, #104-25205/1967 (transfer to) $126,314.84 <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 1' day of April, 2003. <br />4TTEST: <br />ROLINA P.
