RESOLUTION NO.R-15-23 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE THE 2021 URBAN AND MULTI-BENEFIT DROUGHT RELIEF PROGRAM 3 SET-ASIDE FOR DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITIES INVOLVEMENT PROGRAM (UMDRP) FOR THE ENGINEERING AND DESIGN OF WELL 32 4 PROJECT AND AMENDING THE FY2022-23 BUDGET TO INCREASE REVENUES AND APPROPRIATIONS BY$885,000 IN THE WATER FUND TO ACCOUNT FOR THE GRANT ACCEPTANCE AND EXPENDITURES 6 WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Colton desires to improve the water supply 7 system within the City jurisdiction; and 8 WHEREAS,the City of Colton has received an Urban and Multi-benefit Drought 99 Relief Program(UMDRP) Funding for the engineering and design of Well 32 Project; and 10 i I WHEREAS,the City of Colton has received authorization from Santa Ana Watershed 12 Project Authority(SAWPA)and California Rural Water Association(CRWA)to proceed with the 13 engineering and design of Well 32; and 14 WHEREAS,the SAWPA requires that the Sub-Grant Agreement be fully executed 1 before any invoices for reimbursement can be processed; and 16 WHEREAS,the SAWPA and CRWA requires that the City adopt and attach a resolution 17 identifying the project and the official authorized to execute the Sub-Grant Agreement between 18 City of Colton, Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority(SAWPA)and California Rural Water 19 20 Association(CRWA). ,1 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,DECLARED,DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the City Council of the City of Colton,California as follows: 23 24 Section 1.The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager or his designee to execute the '' Sub-Grant Agreement between City of Colton, Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority(SAWPA) 26 and California Rural Water Association(CRWA)for the Well 32 Project. 27 Section 2.Amend the FY2022-23 Budget to increase revenues in Water Fund UMDRP Grant 28 Account Number 521-5851-000 by$885,000 to account for grant acceptance.
