RESOLUTION NO.R-39-23 <br /> 1 <br /> 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA <br /> 3 STATE LIBRARY AND AMEND THE FY 2022-2023 BUDGET TO ACCEPT $7,425 IN <br /> GRANT FUNDING FROM THE LIBRARY SERVICES AND TECHNOLOGY ACT <br /> 4 (LSTA)FOR THE COMMUNITY CRAFTS PROGRAM <br /> 5 WHEREAS, the City of Colton ("City") is a municipal corporation duly organized and existing <br /> pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of California; and, <br /> 6 <br /> WHEREAS, Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) grants are federal funds from the <br /> 7 <br /> Institute of Museum and Library Services that are awarded by the State Library to eligible California <br /> 8 libraries. The California State Library's Copy Cat Grant Program is a competitive LSTA grant process <br /> designed to give California libraries the opportunity to expand the impact of previously funded LSTA <br /> 9 projects through a multi-tiered approval process; and, <br /> 10 WHEREAS,the Library Division of the Community Services Department submitted the"Community <br /> Crafts"project initially in September 2022 and was successful in securing$7,425 in funding;and, <br /> 11 <br /> 12 WHEREAS,the funding will be received in one payment. <br /> 13 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED BY THE CITY <br /> COUNCIL FOR THE DISTRICT,AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 14 <br /> Section 1 The above recitals are true and correct. <br /> 15 <br /> Section 2 Amend the FY2022-23 budget to increase revenue in Miscellaneous Grants Fund <br /> 16 Revenue Account Number 225-5852-000 by$7,425 and increase appropriations as follows: <br /> 17 225-6200-6250-1040-0000-000 Part Time Salaries by$3,895; <br /> 18 225-6200-6250-2302-0000-000 Supplies&Equipment by$3,530; <br /> 19 Section 3 The City Manager is hereby authorized to sign the applicable documents on behalf <br /> of the City to execute this agreement. <br /> 20 <br /> PASSED,APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 6'DAY OF 2023 <br /> 21 <br /> 22 <br /> 23 `l�r � / -► <br /> : � A ARR• <br /> 24 Mayor <br /> 25 <br /> ATTEST: <br /> 26 <br /> 28 STEPHANIE M.
