1 RESOLUTION NO. R-61-23 <br /> 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br /> 3 CALIFORNIA SETTING FORTH THE COMPENSATION AND <br /> BENEFITS OF ELECTED OFFICIALS <br /> 4 <br /> WHEREAS,the City of Colton("City")by way of Resolution No. R-20-11 <br /> 5 established a separate resolution governing the compensation and benefits for elected officials; <br /> 6 WHEREAS, Resolution No. R-20-11 was subsequently amended and replaced by <br /> Resolution No. R-01-15; <br /> 7 <br /> WHEREAS,the City has recently renegotiated and amended the benefits for its <br /> 8 various employee groups; <br /> 9 WHEREAS,the City now desires to amend the health coverage provided for its <br /> elected officials consistent with other employees; <br /> 10 <br /> WHEREAS,this Resolution No. R-61-23 shall be for the Elected Officials and shall <br /> 11 supersede Resolution No. R-01-15 in its entirety; and; <br /> 12 WHEREAS,this Resolution does not govern the compensation of Elected Officials, <br /> which is governed by Colton Municipal Code Chapter 2.12. <br /> 13 NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> 14 CITY OF COLTON AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 15 ARTICLE I <br /> 16 GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> 17 SECTION 1.Title of Resolution. This Resolution shall be known as the <br /> 18 Compensation and Benefits Resolution for Elected Officials of the City of Colton. <br /> SECTION 2.Term of Resolution. This Resolution shall remain in full force and effect <br /> 19 until modified or terminated by action of the City Council. <br /> 20 <br /> SECTION 3.Statement of Purpose. This Resolution is adopted to provide a <br /> 21 comprehensive listing of the benefits to be provided to Elected Officials. Future updates to the <br /> Elected Officials benefits governed by this resolution shall be made consistent to changes to <br /> 22 the Non-Represented Executive Group to the extent permitted by law. <br /> 23 <br /> SECTION 4.Elected Officials. The Elected Officials governed by this Resolution shall <br /> 24 include those persons occupying the following elected positions, whether elected or appointed <br /> in accordance with applicable law: <br /> 25 Mayor <br /> 26 Council Members <br /> City Clerk <br /> 27 City Treasurer <br /> 28 <br />
