1 RESOLUTION NO. R-80-23 <br /> 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br /> AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2119, PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE <br /> 3 CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON ON THE SIXTH DAY OF <br /> 4 DECEMBER, 1960, TO INCLUDE CONVERSION OF EXISTING "NO <br /> PARKING ZONE" TO "LIMITED PARKING ZONE" FRONTING 1641 N. <br /> 5 8TH STREET <br /> 6 WHEREAS, the City of Colton ("City") is a municipal corporation duly organized and <br /> 7 <br /> existing pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of California; and, <br /> 8 <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton desires to improve the traffic flow, <br /> 9 <br /> 10 safety, and circulation within the City jurisdiction; and <br /> 11 WHEREAS,the City desires to address the traffic safety along 8th Street; and, <br /> 12 WHEREAS, the City Traffic Safety Committee approved and recommended <br /> 13 <br /> converting existing"No Parking Zone"to "Limited Parking Zone" fronting 1641 N. 8th Street. <br /> 14 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> 15 CITY OF COLTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 16 <br /> SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Colton hereby adopts the recitals <br /> 17 <br /> contained in this resolution as findings in support of converting existing "No Parking Zone" to <br /> 18 <br /> 19 "Limited Parking Zone" fronting 1641 N. 8th Street. <br /> 20 SECTION 2: A Section is hereby added to Resolution No. 2119 (Section 23) <br /> 21 converting "No Parking Zone"to "Limited Parking Zone" fronting 1641 N. 8th Street. <br /> 22 <br /> SECTION 3: This Resolution shall supersede and repeal any other resolution or <br /> 23 <br /> 24 portion of a resolution to the extent such resolution may be inconsistent with this Resolution. <br /> 25 SECTION 4: If any provision or clause of this Resolution or any application of it to <br /> 26 any person, firm, organization, partnership or corporation is held invalid, such invalidity shall <br /> 27 <br /> not affect other provisions of this Resolution which can be given effect without the invalid <br /> 28 <br />
