1 Compensation of City Officials—Bonds, Section 2.12.010 City Clerk is amended to read as <br /> follows: <br /> 2 "2.12.010 - City Clerk. <br /> 3 As consideration for those duties required by State Law to be performed by the City <br /> Clerk, the City Clerk Shall be paid a salary of four hundred and seven dollars ($407) per <br /> 4 Month, payable at the time and in the manner that other salaries of the City are paid. The <br /> 5 City Council may also, in its sole discretion, assign to the City Clerk, through the adoption of <br /> a job description, any other supplemental duties reasonably related to the elected City Clerk <br /> 6 position, and may provide by Resolution for the oversight of such supplemental duties and <br /> for supplemental compensation to be paid for such supplemental duties. The City Council <br /> 7 may also provide for such duties to be terminated in any manner it deems necessary. The <br /> 8 City Clerk's acceptance and performance of the supplemental duties and supplemental <br /> • compensation shall not give the City Clerk tenure at the City or otherwise confer regular <br /> 9 employment status upon the City Clerk." <br /> SECTION 3. Amendment to Municipal Code. Colton Municipal Code Chapter 2.12 <br /> 10 Compensation of City Officials—Bonds, Section 2.12.020 City Treasurer is amended to read <br /> 11 as follows: <br /> "2.12.020 - City Treasurer. <br /> 12 The Treasurer of the City shall be paid a salary of two hundred forty seven dollars <br /> and fifty cents ($247.50) per month payable at the time and in the manner that other salaries <br /> 13 are paid. The City Council may provide by Resolution for supplemental compensation." <br /> 14 SECTION 4. Amendment to Municipal Code. Colton Municipal Code Chapter 2.12 <br /> Compensation of City Officials—Bonds, Section 2.12.030 City Council members is amended <br /> 15 to read as follows: <br /> "2.12.030 - City Council members. <br /> 16 The salary of each member of the City Council is fixed at four hundred forty dollars <br /> 17 ($440) per month. In addition, each member of the City Council shall receive an auto <br /> allowance of two hundred forty two dollars ($242) per month." <br /> 18 SECTION 5. Amendment to Municipal Code. Colton Municipal Code Chapter 2.12 <br /> Compensation of City Officials—Bonds, Section 2.12.050 Mayor is amended to read as <br /> 19 follows: <br /> 20 "2.12.050 Mayor. <br /> The salary of the Mayor of the City is fixed at four hundred forty dollars ($440) per <br /> 21 month. In addition, the Mayor shall receive an auto allowance of two hundred forty two <br /> 22 dollars ($242) per month." <br /> SECTION 6. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its <br /> 23 adoption. <br /> SECTION 7. Severability. If any section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, <br /> 24 sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance, or any part thereof, is for any reason held to be <br /> 25 unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion of this <br /> Ordinance or any part thereof. The City Council hereby declares that it would have passed <br /> 26 each section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase thereof, <br /> irrespective of the fact that any one or more section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, <br /> 27 sentence, clause or phrase be declared unconstitutional. If for any reason any portion of this <br /> 28 Ordinance is found to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the balance of this <br />
